Keep up the good work. The fact that some people on this site consider P. Diddy bang bang there to be some sort of genius is just scary. How can you "refresh" a song that's already a masterpiece to begin with. I hear that he's planning on doing a hip-hop cover of "Stairway to Heaven". Dear lord, stop him already. There's nothing wrong with sampling when it's more subtle, but in this blatant way it's just stupid. If you're going to do a cover, then actually change the song some.

let me start off by sayng that im a huge p diddy fan, and i obviously disagree with your
beliefs, but i nonetheless respect them. it makes so much sense for you, and other
people, to dislike him and deem him as an untalented cover artist. i admit that his
sampling so much detracts from his credibility, but i also believe that p diddy is a talented producer. anyone can take a sample and simply make a song, but not everyone
can take a sample and make a hot song. P diddy is one of those elite few. thats what

Hey! I'm not here to complain or made a rude comment such as "fuck your mother", but I was reading the article you wrote and I figured I'd respond being a rapper myself. Personally, I don't consider P. Diddy a rapper at all. True enough, he's sampled enough songs in his lifetime to get a whole scoop, but the man's just trying to make money. Besides that, let's be realistic. I'm sure most of these artists are getting royalty checks in the mail for the music P. has borrowed. Sure, I'm only fifteen years old, but I do know about ASCAP and publishing. There is really nothing to worry about. He can't help that he's not creative enough to make music good enough that it can't get any airplay without an old song in the background. Just speaking on his behalf and all other music producers and samplers, THIS IS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY! This is what happens. There really isn't any big explanation. Again, I'm not here to tell you off, but as an artist, I know the main goal is money. When you want money, you'll do most anything. So think as it as a form of flattery. Not grand theft.

Really mate grow up! learn that all have opinions in this world - But hating someone due to your of your dislike in their creativity as an artist to such an extent that u make a website devoted to it, is breaching pathetic. i just thought i'd let you know that p diddy has sampled a song by the eurythmics on his newest album "p. diddy and the bad boy records present... - we invented the remix". its song number 14 and is by faith evans feat. g dep called "you gets no love". i spotted that someone by the name of EraOfTin had requested that he doesnt sample anything by the eurythmics, well tough luck mate, he already done it!!

personally, i dont see the point in this site but i am not going to use foul language to try and get my point across or insult you, but i do think this site is kind of petty and that p diddy should be seen and recognised as one of the greatest entrepeuners around - because he simply is! he runs one of the best business and doesnt deserve to be treated the way you like to treat him.

Interesting site! I like it! I 100% agree with you,
that talent is not ripping off legendary songs and
turning them into tasteless works or crap. What I
Don't understand here is why people actually think he
is "God" or "legendary"? What song has he, himself,
written that has moved a person emotionally, or even
left a dent in some one's heart? Yes, You like the
song for the moment, I.E. Momentary song, then he
comes out with more crap and people forget about the
other crap. The other day i was listening to the radio
and I heard "I'll be missing you." I laughed. I
haven't heard that song in years, and all of a sudden
there is such a demand to actually listen to it? I
highly doubt that, it was either a joke, or some one
had entirely too much time on their hands.
First, I would like to mention the lyrics that
emit from Sean Combs' mouth. He talks, and act like he
has had far too little education, for being what 30?
One would only think that some one could atleast
formulate an intelligent sentence by the age of 30. He
talks about murdering, Using women, Drugs, Alcohol and
sex. What I am not understanding is, women complain
about how much they can not stand it when men demenor
their intellect, use them, or treat them poorly, and
also how they would like a well educated man to treat
them right. The same women idolize Sean, and they only
wish and want to be with him. A little hipocritical?
Why would any human being want to hear about how some
one is going to kill other people, use them, and on
top of all that, hear how they are meaningless and
useless? Thats So horrible!!! I am not a rap fan, nor
am i a racist. I have plenty of african-american
friends, and they are all nice people.
Secondly, if people are so concerned with
racisism, and they think that racism is so horrible,
why do they use incorrect terms to describe african
american people? "Black" is more or less rude to me.
Its brutal and shows lack of empathy towards fellow
people. Come on, get a grip here, if they really want
to stop racism, join an anti-racism group. Rally, or
Protest, Americans are entitled to their 1st
amendement right, why don't they use it more
productively than to whine about how "the black man"
is being treated. That was like 100 years ago, get
over it. This is a whole new millenium.
Thirdly, I absolutly love older music, from 30's -
70's. That is my prime years for great music. I am
only 18, but when i was younger my father decided i
should listen to music that had meaning. Sean actually
thinks his music in some sort of volitile way has
great meaning, i think he needs to be evaluated for
some sort of brain disorder. How could you think that
sex and drugs, and women are acceptable ways to
express your feelings? I love Ben E. King, a wonderful
African American artist. His song, "Stand By me" was
not only written by him, he help in designing the
music to play along with it. That song has moved me in
so many ways, i will always cherish it, and everytime
i hear it, it will always bring back a fond memory.
Music should have substance, it should represent some
sort of personal stride, not a horrific way to demnor,
or attack another person or group.
I admire you, and your site, I think you clearly
and effectivly convey the message that talent
shouldn't be wasted, and people without that talent
shouldn't be anywhere near the talented.

To everyone who's sent negative comments to this site:

#1) P. Diddy may have lots of money, girls, etc. He is also uneducated,
low-class, and an insult to the black community by keeping up the
stereotypes you all claim white people have about them.
#2) P. Diddy's remakes of all these classic songs are not better in any
way. The songs that were originally his actually aren't bad, but he
obviously lacks a lot of talent if he relies so much on the work of
people who are real artists.
#3) How can you say the webmistress is immature and then call her an
ugly, white, hating bitch? That's pretty immature in itself.
#4) Never mind the fact he fucks up songs and whatever - the dumb mofo
wears fur coats. It makes him look like a dowager queen from a 1930's
melodrama. Not only that, it's animal cruelty. But did I mention it
looks fuckin' ridiculous?
#5) Duran Duran, the Police, David Bowie, and other 80's bands are still
popular 20+ years after they first became famous. Some are even still
active with their bands or solo projects. Where's Puffy gonna be in 20+
years? Public housing? Jail? Remember, our white, broke, hatin' asses
