Keep up the good work....P Diddy's reign of musical terror MUST end!! Heh heh heh...Although the "Kashmir" thing was okay [this was the song they used at the end of the Americanized Godzilla move wasn't it?] I was MORTIFIED at his usage of the Police tune.

Simply put, I can't stand it! I am tired of the mainstream adopting people like this idiot, calling it "Hip Hop", when we all know it's rap. And as you know, you can't spell "Crap" without the "Rap". ;)

I stumbled across this website awhile ago and thought I might share my opinion on it!
I happen to think P Diddy is a great rapper, and as for the sampling... well he might go over the top sometimes but I haven't heard of any of the songs he DoEs sample so I'm not really bothered by it!
I agree with others who think it's a good idea because it gives the 80's a fresh sound that the 'new generation' can enjoy!
Instead of this, why not start a website about how much you love another band? You'd probably enjoy it alot more and get a lot of positive feedback!
After all, you wouldn't like it if someone did this to you would you?

Oh and all the Puffy lovers, we'd have more luck getting our point across if we didn't prove this woman's point with abusive language and bad spelling!

I was looking thru your website and I must admit, U spent an awful lot of time crying, whining, and bitching about someone who U really don't know anything about and basically have no reason to hate. I mean let's face it....."to each their own", now I'm not saying that I'm a Puffy fan but I do like some of his music, and when it's played in clubs, @ parties etc...like he's always said...."It'll make U wanna dance" Now I'll admit that he does get alot of his hits from other artists, But guess what?........WHO CARES!! as the old saying goes "Immitation is the best form of "flattery" and besides he payed an awful lot of $$$$ to use the samples, So please.... don't "HATE, THE PLAYA....HATE THE GAME".

U have this undying hatred to his music...but U know what? There are millions of other people out there that buy his music/garbage/bullshit (whatever U want to call it!) and his record sales speak for itself. Now granted U may feel he's a "knock-off artist"..maybe he is, but let's look@ the big picture.....everything comes full circle and some of these artists that U claim he's so "unworthy" of sampling their music..where did they get their inspiration from? Who did "Led Zeppelin" listen to when they were kids? whom did "David Bowie" borrow some of his musical flair from? whom did "Lisa Stansfield" listen to growing up? The Bottom Line is that everybody gets inspired/ borrows from somebody else. The reality is this: Even though U "hate" his music....there are millions of fans that could care less what U think! They are going to continue to buy his music....he's going to continue to put out "hits" and I'm sure his heart is bleeding all the way to the bank because "HATAS" such as yourself won't buy his CD (guess he'll miss your $17.95) The guy is a successful, self-made, entreprenuer whose estimated to be worth over $500 million. He's a "Power-Player" in the music industry, a fashion trendsetter, a smart businessman and guess what?........He's "BLACK! (don't it make U mad?)

My piece of advice for U and anyone else out there that hates the "Puffer" is simple:
"Build A Bridge........And Get Over it"

How could you say that Diddy has no talent? If you believe that, then you must think there is no talent out there period anymore these days. Artists of all different types of music come to Diddy for help these days. He has helped make Hip-Hop so much more popular. It‚s time you wake up! I bet even the artists of the songs you praise from the 80‚s think you are full of crap. Diddy is very much respected in the music business. More respected then you will ever be ANYWHERE!!!

Isn't POP Culture Cyclical?

I must say P.Diddy is "Pop" and I believe he is just one of the many "Pop Entertainers" that's being marketed to the younger generation who is guilty of "Going to far" My background, I am 31 year old Black Male with a good understanding of History. "The Music Industry" has always accepted the Non-talented, for example C&C Music Factory, Millie Vanillie :) Music Styles have always been stolen or duplicated from originators like Chuck Berry, Little Richard, James Brown and Hendrix! Those Styles have been Credited to people like the Beetles, Stones and Elvis however, Nowadays the thievery is more blatant or perhaps we, (the Elders) recognize now what we didn't before (You know back in the 80's). Artist like Prince and Lenny Kravitz in my opinion are today's version of Hendrix moreover, Hip Hop is today's Jazz, and through Over Commercializing will suffer the same fate as Jazz I see it now, White Suburbia are larger Consumers of Hip Hop Culture than Inner City Blacks. I urge any Music Historian to read about the evolution of Jazz and you will see Hip Hop parallels it.

My point is "Pop Culture" is for the young, they think they are so innovative with the Neo Hippie Clothes and the rehashed music it's The Same Shit just a different Generation!! Britney Spears-Madonna, INSYNC-New Kids ... In closing I'd like to say: Thank God For the Internet, I can't even imagine buying music in today's market :) Peace everybody !!!!

It bothers me as a Black Man that some of the younger generation is so Damn Ignorant, instead of stating their opinions in a factual manner, and defending an artist whom they enjoy listening to they have to elevate Puffy to some Black Icon as if he were a Malcolm X, King, Frederick Douglas, Anwar Saddat, Nat Turner, or W.E.B. Dubois., HE IS NOT, NOR ANY OTHER RAPPER ACTOR OR ATHLETE ...! PLEASE KNOW THAT!!!

Please I urge my younger generation to learn their History. I am a fan of some of Puffy's work not all. I have followed Puffy from the days of an Intern with Uptown, Backup Dancer w/ Father MC and Promoter back in his days at Howard U. Puffy may view this site for some real constructive criticism, and I would even think the manner in which some of his fans have defended him, would disappoint P.Diddy.

Youngsters before you hail Sean Combs as the best in his Rap look at people like Mos Def, also take note ... to what has been a Trade Mark of his, REMIXES!! REMIXES are an area that he is very good at and has a wealth of talent also the man can find Talent and Present it to the world in a way that makes us grateful he's in the industry however, he does need to chill out on some of the sampling or just be a bit more creative with it :) I wish all in Cyber Space well ... Old School Hip Hop Fans, New School Hip Hop Fans ... Music Lovers alike !!!

I respect everyones opinions even though I may not agree with them. I disagree with your web-site but I must say that you constructed it very nicely. One thing Diddy has said is that he is "not a rapper but an entertainer", and he just "wants to make people dance". The songs he remakes are well done in my opinion, especially "Every Breathe You Take" by the Police. That song was dedicated to his late friend Christopher Wallace, a.k.a The Notorius B.I.G. Although im sure you already know this. Diddy is an outstanding artist as well as a "hit-maker". He has charisma and class that few entertainers have now. He is a highly educated business man and he does deserve respect even if one does not like him. As far as Jennifer Lopez goes, love don't cost a thing my ass, sorry for that bit of profanity. 3- Son put out THREE videos to promote his remix album BEFORE it even drops and STILL has to sell it for $9. Three singles out at once and a $9 price tag and niggas act like its amazing he debuted at number one. PLEASE. This just shows what a fucking greedy piece of shit he is. Puff gives himself three videos at once while some of the artist on his label don't even get TWO videos for their ENTIRE album.

2- Son is EVERYWHERE. He is coming out with a reality TV show based on no other than HIMSELF (yeah puff cause we aint see you enough) he is in everyone's videos, and he is on tv almost everyday, whether it be Extra, Et, MTV, BET, . . . . puff daddy just finds a way to get on TV somehow.
