I just moved to a new town and all my friends and family live 2000 miles away so I went dress shopping on my own. I was very nervous about buying a dress since I am definitely not a size 8, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the number of designers catering to the plus sized bride. While the dress shop didn't have my exact size, they did have one I could kind of slip on and I knew it was the one.

I would describe my dress as simple elegance. The empire waist is complimented by lace flowers that are also present on the shear sleeves. The beading on the bodice of the dress is in a floral pattern that was perfect for our outdoor wedding. The chiffon overlay and sweep train gives it that romantic appeal that made me feel more beautiful than I had ever imagined.
